BuildON will join the “Data-Driven Smart Building Workshop”, in the framework of the Sustainable Places 2024.
When: September 25th, h 14-17.30 CET
Where: European Convention Center Luxembourg, 4 Pl. de l’Europe
The workshop brings together four cutting-edge EU-funded projects—DigiBUILD, MODERATE, BuildON, and DEDALUS—to showcase their achievements in two key areas: data models & interoperability and data-driven services. Divided into three sessions, the workshop delves into groundbreaking topics aimed at revolutionizing smart building management.
In the first session, experts explore how integrating ontological frameworks can enhance the quality and interoperability of building data across various systems. By using standardized data models, different datasets can seamlessly interact, improving energy efficiency, predictive maintenance, and overall building performance. Case studies demonstrate how these innovations are transforming how we understand and manage smart buildings.
The second part focuses on advanced energy management services, highlighting how technologies like machine learning, data analytics, and IoT devices are optimizing energy use. These tools allow for real-time adjustments to energy consumption, improving sustainability while reducing costs.
The workshop concludes with a final part in form of a panel discussion on the future of Data-Smart Buildings, where project representatives discuss the evolving role of data in shaping the buildings of tomorrow.
