Office building
This pilot is a 2-storey office building, consisting of 2 similar blocks divided by a central corridor, with a total area of 2500 m2 plus a basement covering the entire surface of the building. It was built in 1965.
The climate zone is a typical temperate marine climate (oceanic temperate climate, Cfb).
Which upgrades will be implemented?
The upgrades include LED units with dimmer switches, indoor and outdoor sensors for air quality control and a second-life battery with inverter. A new gateway will provide access to actuators and improve the operation of the building automation and control network.
What do we want to achieve?
The goal is to monitor and control the energy assets of the office building, improve the Indoor Environmental Quality and keep the energy consumption on low levels. To do that, the following measures will be implemented in the pilot:
- deployment of the YODIWO’s commercial gateway
- enhancement of the energy performance monitoring and energy management
- provision of new AI-based control features to improve cross-domain control of energy assets, optimised energy flexibility for the grid and IEQ/ visual optimization for user comfort
- generation of Digital Twins to support energy performance simulation and operation
